John 12:28-29

Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

From Background Notes [BN] for May 25th & 26th  written by Pastor Bob Brown:

According to Jesus’ interpretation of the Voice, “the ruler of this world will be driven out,” a reference to the end of Satan’s domination of earth. But that’s not all that the Voice means.

Further, Jesus tells his audience, “when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself” (12:32), imagery that alludes to Jesus’ coming crucifixion. As a unit, John 12:31-33 constitutes Jesus’ interpretation of the Voice for the sake of those who heard it but did not recognize it. [BN, 6]
