2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.

From Background Notes [BN] for June 1st & 2nd written by Pastor Bob Brown:

For the Christian community, the Voice that changes comes through preaching that offers another way, other than the ones that we’ve tried and have failed…

…through engagement with the community that, like ourselves, knows that the present course of human life leads nowhere, and for whom the Voice is that of the Shepherd who gives the way of eternal life; through worship that consistently tells the story of Jesus and his love, while all the time challenging our relationship with God and His with us; through giving ourselves away in service to the world, assured by Jesus that in the world we will find “other sheep, not of this fold” — persons not like ourselves — who also belong together with us.  [BN, 10]
