Luke 6:38

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"

From Background Notes [BN] for Oct 24th & 25th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

This is kingdom economics, free of anxiety about scarcity, and overflowing with trust in the gracious abundance of God for His creation. It all begins with trust. Do we imagine that God is stingy or generous?

Is the world made by God doomed to running out of everything, or does He have a plan for its continued renewal and fullness? Indeed He does. The God of grace is the gift who keeps on giving, and He has chosen a people to be His sign to all creation that the act of giving is a witness to the uninterrupted resources for life already present in His world. Here is common grace and here is special grace set in motion by the trustful attitudes of a people who are the agents of God’s generosity wherever needs arise. [BN,11]
