Easter is, then, a call to wake up or be lost. Wake up to the generous offer of redemption from Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wake up from the lethargy into which we’ve drifted by the narcotics of our consumer society. Wake up from the neglect of our neighbors whose viable support systems have fallen away. Wake up to the widespread disease that infects the body politic. Wake up to the deceptive sins that trap us. Wake up to the need for spiritual renewal, heart cleansing, and obedience to the gospel.  [BN,9]
