But Naaman became angry and went away, saying, “I thought that for me he would surely come out, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and would wave his hand over the spot, and cure the leprosy!

Later he came to his senses and agreed to follow the prophet's instructions, with the result that he became clean from his leprosy. Was Peter any different from Naaman, resisting the word of the Lord?

 

When the Christ follower obeys his Lord and accepts his word, he too can be clean. This is Jesus' point.  [BN,7]
