1 Corinthians 15:1

Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand

From Background Notes [BN] for April 26th & 27th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Much of what we do in the church by way of teaching and preaching is reminding. When this happens, old truths come alive with new meanings; old habits yield to better ones; true belief emerges from the debris of cluttered lives...

... “old things pass away and all things become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). We also learn lessons from our ancient Hebrew family when they followed Yahweh their God under the leadership of Moses:

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them (Deuteronomy 4:9). [BN,1]

Join us this week in Study, Worship, Praise and Celebration at Chicago First Church of the Nazarene:

* Saturday 6:00pm
* Sunday 8:30am & 11:00am
