Zephaniah 3:2

It has listened to no voice; it has accepted no correction. It has not trusted in the LORD; it has not drawn near to its God.

From Background Notes [BN] for June 8th & 9th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

In the last text above we have the common ingredients for this week’s study in the phrases: “Listened to no Voice” in conjunction with “accepted no correction.”

More importantly is the absence of covenant trust that refuses to “draw near to its God.” In order for the Voice to exercise its corrective power in our lives, we need to let down our guard with God, face Him openly, hear His teaching, and accept the correction He seeks in us.  [BN, 11]

Join us this week in Study, Worship, Praise and Celebration at Chicago First Church of the Nazarene:

* Saturday 6:00pm
* Sunday 8:30am & 11:00am
