(This week) We will consider the
central and vital aspects of human nature created by God and which give
identity to human beings as made in the image of God.
Expressions like “intellect, emotions,
and will” are simply other ways of defining the essence of heart language. As a
result, we may freely say that the heart thinks, feels, and decides. These
other words become the activities of the self-same heart when it rises
to the level of action, direction, and decision. Heart as agency does all of
these things, and shapes the sort of persons we become. [BN,2]
