Genesis 18:25

Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Abraham's sense of justice is certainly justified, and Yahweh does not contend with it. What appears from the story is that the way of deliverance does not come with sparing evil, but with rescuing the righteous out of it!



The descendents of Abraham will witness this in the generations to come, and here, Yahweh shows Abraham that it is so. He sends his angels to the doomed city and rescues Lot and his family.  [BN,5]
