Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

From Background Notes [BN] for Sept 3rd & 4th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Our mission is not to change the world, but it is God's mission to do so.

The mission is not about what God does for us, but rather what He does through us. We cannot build the kingdom, but we are to build for the kingdom. God sent His Son into the world that the world might live through him. The singular achievement of Jesus was to die for our sins and to rise for our vindication. Our mission is not to duplicate the achievement of Jesus ― we surely cannot and must not try ― but we are called upon to implement it. [BN,1]
