John 15:5

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

From Background Notes [BN] for October 26th & 27th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Core values are the centers that hold together the unity of an organization, and as such, they in tension with forces that pull inward and those that push outward. Life in its raw form is generally lived on the edge of chaos where forces threaten to tear apart the fabric. Things like purpose, choice, and confidence require such a center.

Over the next few weeks, this study will identify and discuss four core values that live at the center of Chicago First Church of the Nazarene — values that will shape everything we do. They are not isolated values, operating independently of each other, but they encircle a strong center that truly holds. We take that center to be the person of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, the Word-become-human and living among us. [BN,1-2]

Join us this week in Study, Worship, Praise and Celebration at Chicago First Church of the Nazarene:

* Saturday 6:00pm
* Sunday 8:30am & 11:00am
