Confronted by the abyss of death,
Elijah dares to seek resurrection life from the God he had just before accused of
taking it away.
Turning around that ancient word
spoken by Job and applying it to the widow’s son, he must have
thought, “If Yahweh takes away life, he surely has the power to restore it.” [BN,5]
