Genesis 12:3

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

From Background Notes [BN] for July 5th & 6th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

In this role, Israel was unique. Consider: "Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?" (Deuteronomy 4:34).

God's dealings with the nations, including Israel, was not haphazard. As he told Moses, "When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God" (Deuteronomy 32:8). [BN,5]
