Revelation 22:15

Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Persons who willfully persist in the practice of sin, having been previously granted freedom to choose God instead, by their own decision place themselves outside the good world where God makes all things new.

 

Hell for the impenitent begins here on earth, in this life, where God continues to grant a second chance. Hell begins with the experience of God’s present judgment on the world, as Paul speaks about, “the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness…” (Romans 1:19). But hell will one day finally cleanse the whole creation of all that defiles and displaces the glory of God. [BN, 8]
