John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

From Background Notes [BN] for March 9th & 10th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Resurrection life is not just life after death, but that kind of life that begins the very moment a person places trust in Jesus. It is embodied life with concreteness and wholeness.

It is not life as a bare soul or spirit, inhabiting an incorporeal heaven “far, far away.” Instead, what John 3:16 offers to those who receive God’s good faith offer of His Son is the generosity of His love poured out through the cross and the preaching of the Good News. That is a distinctive worth living and dying for! It is our distinctive, the central core of our DNA.  [BN, 4]
