Yahweh, the LORD, maintains love, abounds in love, and loves with compassion, grace, and faithfulness. Deep inside God’s ḥesed is commitment, a love that will not let go.

This love is self-giving, trusting, affectionate, and constant. It is love of the will and love that is a choice.  [BN, 3]
