…appears throughout the New Testament
as a reference to the bodily rising of Jesus and his followers. Martha's
acknowledgement of this event "at the last day" was shared by many
Jews in the Second Temple period, including the Pharisees who were present to
console Martha and Mary. [BN, 6]
