The future of our voyage all depends on the Captain of our salvation, Jesus Christ, God’s only Son our Lord. His death and resurrection create the shape of our lives now and in the future.

On the journey we navigate between the things that have already been accomplished through Jesus and the things that will one day be fulfilled. From the future, the Triune God comes to meet us and our earthly existence joins in wedded joy with our heavenly one. We anticipate the day when we dance with this God at the marriage supper of the Lamb. Now we see all of this dimly, like eager children peering into a frosted glass hoping to see the surprise on the other side. [BN,1]
