Isaiah 6:1-2a

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings:

From Background Notes [BN] for June 11th & 12th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

God is the heavenly king, and in fact, there is no other king worth acknowledging.

He is “high and lifted up,” a phrase emphasizing His glorious presence and supreme rule. Robes which fill the space imply the comprehensive nature of Yahweh’s presence and authority. There is room for no other king. Leading the homage of the Great King are the seraphs, a word referring to the attending angels which belong to the heavenly host. Closest to the king they are his messengers and the worship directors whose wings cover themselves in humility and fly within the throne room to symbolize the active role they fulfill in service to their Lord. Their message is for all creation of whom Isaiah is now the immediate witness. Might our graduates become seraphs for their time? [BN,4]
