Isaiah 52:13

See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

From Background Notes [BN] for June 11th & 12th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Our prayer for new graduates is that they might make room for a new vision of God that moves them beyond their present understanding of Him. He is high and holy, and...

...He desires graduates to allow His majesty to confront what is lacking in their experience so that they might become more fully His growing and holy children. None of this will happen in a vacuum, for each graduate is already situated in a culture with its own designs for them. Like Isaiah, they live “among a people” who may very well not always tell the truth, and so they are ever vulnerable to the temptations of surrendering their identities to an alien world that has no love for God. Equipped with the values of the Christian community which rooted them, our graduates now have opportunity to test and prove the truth of their personal formation up to this point in the journey. In their next steps they will experience the hard and courageous task of having many things to cut down, leaving the life-giving “stump” of God’s future possibilities still intact. May they see the remnant of their prior experiences as “holy seed” that is ready to sprout and grow on fresh soil, leading them into fruitful endeavors, appointed careers, and reliable relationships. God, the holy one, remains faithful to what happens next. [BN,9]
