1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

From Background Notes [BN] for May 17th & 18th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Is it not remarkable that Paul offers this instruction at the end of a long chapter in defense of our future resurrection!

The bottom line, as it were, of this careful argument — this diatribe — is that the promise of our personal resurrection from the dead as fully embodied human beings becomes a solid foundation where we can “stand firm” in “the work of the Lord.” [BN,6]
