Revelation 19:6

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.

From Background Notes [BN] for December 1st & 2nd written by Pastor Bob Brown:

For God to be Almighty — the God-Warrior who always prevails — means that He never allows His power to get out of control. God is the quintessential Self-Controlled Supreme Being.

His power is disciplined for the good of His creation in the interest of His own Good. In God, power never exists without goodness. The last book of the Bible celebrates the entire story told throughout the Bible in this way: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns!”. That is, God’s power extends to the wise, righteous, and hopeful governance of His world. And His followers should feel free to put their trust in such an Almighty God who remains faithful to what He has made and to all that He governs. He has the power to be faithful, and so we may trust him implicitly. [BN, 5]
