Daniel 6:20

When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”

From Background Notes [BN] for December 1st & 2nd written by Pastor Bob Brown:

One main recurring theme of Israelite faith is, simply, “our God is able.”

When all of the other gods of the surrounding nations prove to be completely inadequate, Yahweh, God of Israel, breaks forth in might and power. The three Hebrew children who faced death in the fiery furnace spoke with one voice:

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king (Daniel 3:17). [BN, 4]
