Acts 2:44-45

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.

…no materialistic philosophy, rooted in an economic theory, motivated these simple acts of caring. Knowing that Jesus had forgiven them and brought them into his kingdom, these Christ followers knew that nothing really belonged to them, but to him. Thus, they opened their hearts to each other, as a reasonable act of spiritual worship.  [BN, 10]
