Romans 8:39

Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

From Background Notes [BN] for Mar 12th & 13th written by Pastor Bob Brown:

The “B.L.E.S.S.” ministry of oikos liberates us from the adversarial attitude we might easily adopt in relationship to those outside the Christian community.

Rooted in the truth of the Gospel as explained by 1 Peter 3, we recognize God’s work in Jesus to set people free from all that would make them our enemies and not our friends. Trusting in the work of Jesus to defeat the hostile powers, we are liberated to bear a faithful witness to others even when the culture they now embrace might be contrary to the good purposes of God for the human race. Through the life of the Church, our Lord has gifted us with tools to prepare us to give the Gospel answer to any who would interrogate us about our faith. The habits of holiness include maintaining a good conscience, a humble attitude, and a loving heart to those whom God has drawn with our sphere of influence. The oikos realm is full of grace which allows us to experience suffering as redemptive and able to reach beyond the resentment we would otherwise feel toward those who oppose our witness. [BN,16]
