1 Corinthians 6:20

For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

From Background Notes [BN] for March 22nd & 23rd written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Human beings are not innocent bystanders of the glory of God, for they owe their very life to Him, having been “bought with a price” that ultimately means Jesus dying on the cross for the salvation of the world. Glorifying God is about “your body,” Paul tells us, and that suggests that we have bodies so that we might embody the nature of God.

There is suffering in that experience, for salvation cost God the life of His Son,” as Bonhoeffer wrote in his Cost of Discipleship. Glorifying God happens through our bodies which give visibility to God, just as Jesus’ body was the incarnation of God.  [BN, 9-10]
