Acts 2:1-2

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

From Background Notes [BN] for March 2nd & 3rd written by Pastor Bob Brown:

And so when Acts 2 tells the story of the New Pentecost, it’s really re-enacting the old one with fresh fire and city heat.

Only this time the story has a new twist in the tale: not Torah, but the Spirit comes down on them. Jerusalem heard the message of Jesus, spoken by Peter, and saw the vision cast by his words. Imagine Pentecost like a Sunday Morning at Chicago First where faithful people show up and share in the kindled flame of Pentecost all over again.  [BN, 3]
