John 11:33

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.

From Background Notes [BN] for August 11th & 12th  written by Pastor Bob Brown:

From the tone of the underlying language, we surmise that Jesus is angry about what he sees and hears. He is furious at death and the damage it has done to the lives of these grieving souls.

Treating death as “the last enemy” (again, see 1 Corinthians 15:26), Jesus prepares to do battle with it, as he “snorts” like a war-horse on the verge of a decisive charge. Observing the mounting crowd of mourners, growing like an epidemic, he knows that the time has come to do something momentous — something that will put death on notice that the death of death is at hand.  [BN, 1]
