Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

From Background Notes [BN] for June 30th / July 1st written by Pastor Bob Brown:

Yet the Gospels are rich with stories told by Jesus that remind us how freedom is always in peril and constantly in jeopardy. Often, freedom is misconstrued for something we call “license,” and…

 …so the human experience vacillates between bondage on the one hand and careless abandon on the other. The goal of human experience under the Gospel is redeeming once more the “freedom for which Christ has set us free.” Our study this week majors in that theme and does so from several angles.  [BN, 1]

Join us this week in Study, Worship, Praise and Celebration at Chicago First Church of the Nazarene:

* Sunday 8:30am & 11:00am, 5:30pm
