Our first study in this series began with a wide-angled perspective of Hebrews 5:11-6:12, the guiding text for “setting sail.”

In this week’s material we focus on the twin theme of repentance and faith, and the crucial role they have in staying on course, moving forward, and recovering from detours in our spiritual lives. As you will recall from the previous week, early Christians contended with significant forces that threatened to blow them off course and return them to old traditions and old ways of life. In the prevailing winds of our time, similar temptations persist, and diligence is necessary to follow Jesus until the end. [BN,1]
