In truth, David the giant killer was no underdog, victimized by a bully, and lucky in firing his slingshot at Goliath. On the contrary...

...David was a slinger, and Goliath never saw it coming. The settled belief of the Lord’s people ought to be that God knows the plans of the wicked better than they do, and He knows why they will fail. More wonderfully, he allows His people to share this wisdom when they meet the giants! [BN,14]
