Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

The church embraces family as a Core Value, not by taking over what is rightfully the family’s responsibility, but by working with families to strengthen their ability to become the primary spiritual agents in their homes.

There is a fine line between the church as surrogate organization and the church as life-giving organism. Ancient Israel worked the tension between being the people of God and being an earthly kingdom, complete with king and royal court. Families didn’t fair well when Israel was a national security state. We suggest that churches do their best work when they make available the resources to help fathers and mothers, single-parents or other care-givers within the family, become the primary spiritual agents in their homes. We love to teach your children about Jesus, but we believe that it is more important that you teach your children about Jesus, and that you be present when your children decide that they want to receive Jesus as their personal Savior.
