The problem of public space for God existed from the beginning of time. And so when we tell the Gospel story we remember that there was no room for Jesus at the inn.

Even at the end of his life there was no room for him in the public space either. He was thrown out of the world onto a cross. And yet when we want to take over again we seem to be saying Jesus should have been born in the inn and not the stable. So do we also think that he should have come down from the cross? [BN,4]
