Watching Jesus up-close, they are in the ideal position to assess Jesus’ genuineness, his lucid words, and his restorative power.

 

They know Jesus is no ordinary human being. In Mark 4:41 (and parallel Gospels), they witness Jesus still a raging storm: “They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!’" [BN,4]
